For the week of July 14, 2024: In the middle of spring break, on a Friday afternoon, Metro Vancouver revealed the North Shore Wastewater Treatment Plant would take another $3 billion and six years to complete. It was supposed to cost $500 million to $700 million and be ready in 2020.  Seven local government politicians from around the Lower Mainland are demanding transparency, accountability and reform from the regional government.
